Three plain phone videos helped me sign 39 clients. Inside the challenge, I’ll help you apply the process to what you want people to know about.

You already know video could help. Let’s give you a way to use it.

You want people to ask about your service, order your product, book you for your skill, register for your programme or get behind your project.

But when it is time to record, there is always something: your face, your hair, your background, your English, the camera, the lighting—or the question, “What do I even say?”

You can see the opportunity. You need a practical way to turn what you know into something people can watch, understand and act on.

That is the work we will do together.

The method

A useful message first. More of the right people seeing it next.

A Boring Video explains one problem clearly, in your own voice, and gives the person watching a next step. Your message does the work; the video can stay simple.

Across 15 daily missions, you will work through five steps:

1

Find the problem they care about

Start with a question, frustration, desire or decision already on your audience’s mind. Give them a reason to listen before you explain what you offer.

2

Know what to say

Turn your knowledge, stories and experience into a bank of useful video ideas. Use a speaking outline so you can explain one idea in your own words.

3

Record and publish with your phone

Use your normal voice, the room you have and basic cuts. Practise making your message clear enough to publish without turning each video into a production.

4

Look for a meaningful response

Pay attention to the questions, replies, enquiries and other signals your video attracts. Learn what people understood, what interested them and what needs changing.

5

Put a small budget behind promising messages

Learn how to give a message that shows useful signals more distribution. You have a next move beyond posting again and hoping the algorithm notices.

Find the problem. Record the message. Read the response. Give promising messages more reach.

Your next video could start with a question you already answer.

You do not have to invent a new personality for the internet. Start with something the people you want to reach are trying to figure out.

  • If you sell a product: “Here’s what to check before you buy…” Explain the choice, show what matters and invite a question or order.
  • If you offer a service or skill: “Here’s why this keeps happening…” Explain a problem you can help solve and how someone can work with you.
  • If you teach or run a project: “Here’s what people misunderstand about…” Share one useful lesson and invite people to register, take part or learn more.

We will use your own experience to find angles that make sense for your audience and the action you want them to take.

Why I teach it this way

I paid an editor $100. He made $100. I made $0.

The nine-minute video had transitions, effects, animation and music. It got 73 views and brought me no enquiry.

Later, I sat down and explained one problem for 23 minutes. I recorded it myself, cut out my mistakes and posted it. That plain video got 347 views, brought me 42 leads, and 12 people signed up.

I had paid to improve the editing before I had fixed the message.

Three boring videos helped me sign 39 clients.

I kept answering questions buyers were already asking. When a message attracted the right response, I put a small amount of money behind it.

By August 2026, three boring videos had helped me sign 39 clients and have more than 30,000 conversations with people trying to grow what they sell online.

One June video reached 250,000 views and helped me sign two clients paying GHS 10,000 every month.

Those are results from my own work. This is the first live challenge cohort. What I will help you practise is the process: understand your audience, explain a useful problem and learn from the response.

By the end, the aim is to have a bank of ideas drawn from your own knowledge, practice recording and publishing, and a way to decide which messages deserve more attention.

Here is how the live challenge runs.

14 September 2026
Opening live session: learn the Boring Video strategy and how to approach the challenge.
15–29 September 2026
15 days of practical missions delivered through WhatsApp. Work on your message, record, publish and learn from the response.
30 September 2026
Closing live session: review the work and choose your next distribution move.

The 15 days refer to the daily missions, with an opening and closing live session either side.

You can be nervous and still be ready for this.

You do not need to feel confident before joining. You do need something you want people to know about, and a willingness to practise sharing it.

  • You have a product, service, skill, talent, project, idea or expertise to work with.
  • You want a real next step from your audience: an enquiry, booking, registration, order or conversation.
  • You are willing to complete the missions, publish your work and use feedback to improve.

This is a working challenge. Set aside time to do the missions as well as attend the sessions.

A few things you may be wondering.

“My camera, room or English isn’t good enough.”

Start with your phone, your current room and the way you speak now. We will work on making the message clear. You can also use a voice-over format.

“I never know what to say.”

That is part of the work. The workbooks and prompts help you find ideas in questions, mistakes, stories and lessons you already know. The speaking outlines help you put one idea in order.

“Will I need money for ads?”

The method includes learning to put a small budget behind messages that show useful signals. Any money you spend on distribution is separate from the challenge fee.

“Will this guarantee sales?”

No. You will receive training, tools, missions and personal review. Your results depend on your audience, what you offer and the work you put in. We will focus on making your message clearer and learning what gets a useful response.

“Why only 10 people?”

This is the first live group. I want to review the work closely, help people sharpen their messages and improve the process as we go. Enrollment closes when 10 people have paid.

I built this around what I could actually do.

After a health crisis in 2025, I had to slow down and eventually leave my job. I still had a wife, three children and bills to pay.

I needed a way to use what I knew from where I was. I could sit in my room, record one clear message and put it in front of people who needed it.

That is why I teach a process built around your phone, your real voice and the knowledge you already have.
